We are lucky to have so many wonderful sponsors and exhibitors at this year’s DesignOps Summit–and we thought you might like to get to know them better! We’ve asked all of them some questions in the coming weeks that get at the heart of why they’re passionate about DesignOps, what it’s like to work with them, and what makes their products and services special to Design and Research Operations professionals.

NEXT UP: ADRIENNE ALLNUTT, DIRECTOR, DESIGN AND RESEARCH OPERATIONS AT LINKEDIN

Rosenfeld Media: Why are you sponsoring this year’s DesignOps Summit?

Adrienne Allnutt: At LinkedIn, we believe that we are all in it together. In Design and Research Ops, our vision is to empower innovation and professional growth in our workplace. Our team equips, educates, and empowers our designers, researchers, and writers to run their craft effectively (and are having fun while doing it!). But, we can’t do it alone. We believe in this community and the opportunity to share knowledge together. We’ve seen the lasting impact this Summit has had on our own organization – we want to continue to invest in learning and growing together.

Rosenfeld Media: What excites you about Design and Research Operations?

Adrienne Allnutt: There’s great value and impact in creating space for your designers, researchers, and writers to solve problems – creating tools and paths to move insights through to solutions into the hands of our members. We thrive on creating better collaboration with partners, clear alignment, and intuitive workflows.

Rosenfeld Media: What is it like for Design and Research Operations people to work at your company/organization?

Adrienne Allnutt: Employees at LinkedIn invest in our work because we truly believe in our company’s vision: Creating economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce. We are passionate about meaningful work, and every person on our team plays an impactful role in this.

Rosenfeld Media: What is your culture like, who would they work with, and who are the champions?

Adrienne Allnutt: The LinkedIn Design and Research Operations team fosters a culture of storytelling, curiosity, collaboration, inclusivity, and humor. We value people first, solving the right problems, systems-thinking, flexing to changing environments, leading through influence, and quality results. We use these principles to guide our day-to-day decisions.

We design experiences for our design, research, and writing teams to deliver value at scale. Our program managers and ops professionals work with teams and individuals in the User Experience Design organization. Our function is championed at the highest level from our VP of Design, all the way through our interns.
